Description
Yosemite Valley during the Spring of 2011 was fueled by the deepest winter snowpack in two decades - with resultant massive run-offs of the melt. Ribbon Fall just west of El Capitan is ephemeral, and catching it at "high water" as it raced to the Merced River after making its 1612 foot plunge (the tallest single-drop waterfall in North America) was a real treat...
If you possibly might prefer a painted texture, a watercolor-style conversion of this photograph is available in my "Watercolor Conversions of Yosemite Photographs" and "Watercolor Treatments Of Photographs" galleries here at FAA - thank you for viewing!
